Catherine is Watching Sketch

Finally! I found the time to make these sketches. I had so many different ideas for this project. So Alisi, I'm gonna let you choose one of the sketches and that one will be taken too Photoshop for the final product

The thing in Photoshop I would probably do with this pic is add all sorts of cool lighting and magical effects; specifically around that orb. I also just loved the idea of Catherine watching the Twins in a crystal ball-esque way I couldn't just leave it. The idea is that she's supposed to be using her new powers to watch the twins. Since my pencil probably wouldn't pull off the fancy stuff, for now it just looks like a crystal ball. Still cool though. And damn that hand was hard!!!!!!

Another thing I want to point out is the body language here. Not only am I happy with having her show off how backless her dress is, but I also enjoy the way her shoulders are kinda hunched forward in a coy mischievous sort of way. At the same time I made sure not to exaggerate that in any way. Catherine isn't really hiding as much as she used too. Becoming her own person had made her relax a little. Catherine, though still plotting and evil to the bone, she has become a bit more comfortable with her new identity.

I reread that chapter, and I noticed that Alisi Thorndyke never specified any details about the amulet, besides the fact that it's around her neck. This gave me a bit of freedom to design it too act a little bit more like an accessory. Besides, Catherine needed a bit fancy statement piece. My only question: diamonds or pearls?

Take a look at Bill's Magic Circle thing. There's actually an 11th symbol. I thought it would be kinda cool if Catherine somehow added herself to the prophecy. Her symbol ended up being a cat. First reason: This kinda toys with the phrase "copy cat" since she is a clone and all. But like a cat, Catherine is sneaky and tricky. Her style is pretty sleek as well. Plus, cats are pretty much associated with witches. Look at what she is now. However, I'm kinda having second thoughts about having the circle there. Feels more like an eyesore and the picture looked better before I drew it in. Ally, unless you say otherwise I think I will be removing that if this picture ends up in photoshop

The only thing left that confuses me is what should Catherine be looking at? I'm not sure if I should keep her looking at the audience as if she's gonna get you, or have her focus on watching the Shack
